Welcome on my blog tineurope!

Since 2008 I have written and commented on issues such as Differentiated integration, the European Parliament, National parliaments in the EU and reforming the Economic and Monetary Union. This blog has been online since 2014 and brings together a few of my most recent thoughts and publications on these topics.

I work as a Research Fellow at the Jacques Delors Institut – Berlin and I’m a PhD candidate at the Hertie School of Governance. My current research explores legitimacy in the Economic and Monetary Union, and how parliaments have reacted to the increasing coordination of fiscal and economic policies at the European level. I’m particularly interested in inter-parliamentary cooperation and under which conditions National parliaments and the European Parliament behave cooperatively.

From 2011 to 2014 I was Research Fellow for “EU Politics and Institutions” at Notre Europe – Institut Jacques Delors in Paris. Previously, I had worked at the German Historical Institute in Paris and at the Center for Applied Policy Research in Munich.

I hold an MSc in Politics and Government in the European Union from the London School of Economics. Prior to that, I studied at Université Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle and at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
